Hi! I am Lloyd Jorgenson and I teach High School and Middle school band. I also teach Elementary Music. This is my first year at Roby CISD. Last year I taught Elementary and Middle School orchestra and band at Fayetteville, North Carolina. I recently retired from the U.S. Army with over twenty years of service. While in the Army I served in the Army Band Field. I believe my years of military service would be very beneficial in my teaching. I am back now in West Texas were I was brought up.

My goal is to build the Roby Band program. It may take a couple of years to get the band up to a superior level. The band right now is very young (few upper classmen). During the Fall Semester, band performed very well by attending three parades, numerous halftime shows, and two marching contests. This spring, the band will be working on their concert and sight-reading skills. Several students have signed up for the upcoming U.I.L. Solos/Ensembles Contest.

For Middle School and elementary, I will teach music that will be fun for me as well as the students. I am very proud of my 3rd through 6th grade music classes during the Fall Semester. The third and fourth grade classes placed 1st while my fifth and sixth came in 2nd at the UIL Music Memory compitition. The 5th (beginner) and 6th (intermediate) bands are motivated and progressing rather well my first year here. Several are interested in performing solos at upcoming contest. This year here will be very challenging for me as well as the students. I am looking forward to the adventures that wait us.
