Someone once said, “ There is a mathematician in all of us.” As a mathematics teacher in high school, I believe this is a true statement. There is a mathematician, a scientist, a technology expert, a writer, an athlete, etc. in all of us. The challenge is to figure out how to find this within ourselves. As a teacher, I love to help students find that mathematical part of themselves. I teach mainly geometry in high school. This is a subject that concentrates with mathematical logic and reasoning rather than computation. I love trying to help students see that math is actually a puzzle that they learn to put together. Everything in life fits together just like the logical steps in mathematics. This to me is a wonderful process to explain and see students grasp.
